The grant committee has selected six projects to receive support under the "Monitoring Recovery and Reconstruction at the Local Level" competition. This is an important step towards strengthening civic oversight of Ukraine’s infrastructure recovery process.

The winners of the 7th round are:

  • NGO "Narodnyi Zakhyst";
  • Zaporizhzhia Investigation Center;
  • NGO "Brave Irpin";
  • CF “East SOS”;
  • NGO “Window of Recovery”;
  • NGO “Dnister Lowland Development Agency”

The grantees will focus on monitoring the recovery of social infrastructure in Kyiv city, and the Kyiv, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions.

Civic monitoring plays a crucial role in increasing transparency during the recovery process and ensures compliance with accessibility and inclusion principles on newly built and restored facilities.

Monitoring results will be regularly published on the grantees’ social media platforms and on the Big Recovery Portal.

The competition is part of the “The Recovery Spending Watchdog” project, implemented by the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting (IER), the Centre for Economic Strategy, and the NGO “Technologies of Progress” with funding from the European Union in Ukraine.
