Public Investment Projects (PIP)
The Portal now provides information on Public Investment Projects (PIPs). A PIP is a new unified model for how the state, communities, and donors implement complex construction and development projects. PIPs bring together related investment objects (specific physical buildings, equipment, or infrastructure) within a single financial program and allow them to be seen in a shared context - from idea to performance evaluation.
How do PIPs differ from the recovery objects BRP has worked with before?
A PIP
is a comprehensive project aimed at achieving specific goals and aligned with state priorities. It can include several investment objects and related activities. For example, the goal of "improving access to secondary education in a region" may include school renovations, purchasing computer labs, and acquiring school buses.
A recovery object
is a single physical construction or reconstruction site that can be seen on the portal map. An object can be part of different PIPs at the same time or over time. For example, a school may undergo roof repair, shelter construction, and cafeteria reconstruction.
You can view all of this in the "Map" section: PIPs are in the map's "Projects" tab, investment objects are in the "Objects" tab. Historical recovery objects that appeared in the system before the public investment reform began also remain available in a separate "Archive" tab on the map.
