DREAM now has integration with the Big Recovery Portal (BRP)
The Digital Ecosystem for Accountable Recovery Management DREAM has now integrated with the Big Recovery Portal (BRP). Now, from each project card on DREAM, you can immediately go to the corresponding BRP page by clicking the “Public Project Assessment” button.
This is another example of how the ecosystem of digital solutions in the country is growing - and will allow everyone to leave comments, photos of the real state of affairs, and complaints about reconstruction projects. And, of course, from the project card on BRP, you can get back to DREAM by clicking on the link at the top of the page.
We remind you that every night, BRP collects data on projects relevant to the public from DREAM (for example, we do not work with critical infrastructure or roads) to enable public organizations and ordinary Ukrainians to monitor the recovery process, look for betrayal and victory, and report on successes and possible violations. We report some of these errors back to DREAM, because the country should have a single and as detailed a database of restoration projects as possible to avoid double funding, unclear projects, or duplication of facilities.
How to use the BRP?
To leave a comment, you need to:
- Click the “Public Project Assessment” button to be on the BRP.
- Scroll through the card of the desired facility and register in the form below the card. You can log in immediately via social networks, or anonymously.
- Leave your comment about the reconstruction process. For example: do you think it is appropriate to rebuild this particular facility, is the external repair done qualitatively, or how do you assess the level of reconstruction?
You can also leave a complaint about the project on the portal by clicking the orange “Submit a Complaint” button. This function also requires authorization.
Thanks to complaints and negative comments, the reconstruction object is highlighted as risky. This helps the responsible authorities to pay attention to this object. Due to the potential attention, not only journalists or anti-corruption activists, but also law enforcement officers can be involved.
The project "Control of the costs of reconstruction of Ukraine" is implemented by the Centre for Economic Strategy, IER and the NGO Technologies of Progress with the support of the European Union in Ukraine.
