Non-governmental organization "Agency of City Initiatives" was founded in 2017. We have transformed from a volunteer initiative organizing various events to improve public spaces and protect the rights of public transport passengers into a public organization with a stable vision and strategy. Our goal is to promote the development of self-sufficient, transparent, cohesive, and honest communities in the Chernihiv region, where it is comfortable to live, study, work, and implement innovative ideas. Our work includes monitoring the activities of state institutions. We operate within the framework of the "Local Council Members' Attestation" project. We have monitored the openness of courts in Chernihiv as part of the CHESNO Movement. We coordinated the "Transparent Cities" project by Transparency International Ukraine. Non-governmental organization "Agency of City Initiatives" is a member of the Civil Partnership "For Transparent Local Budgets." Team members evaluated the level of transparency of local budgets in the communities of Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Luhansk, and Chernihiv regions.
